Make the collection arrangement clear first
For a longer-distance enquiry, collection and return need to be considered together. Please send the complete postcode, the number and sizes of your rugs, and any deadline. We will confirm whether we can offer a suitable arrangement and what the quote covers.
Do not package a rug for a courier or send it to the workshop without agreement. Weight, condition, moisture and packaging all affect safe transport. Contact us first if delivery to the workshop is an option you are considering.
Give a delicate rug the right assessment
If the rug is wool, silk, Oriental, antique or of sentimental importance, photographs of the front, reverse and fringe can help the initial discussion. Include a label where available and tell us about worn areas, repairs, loose fringes or colour changes.
A visual description does not establish the fibre or dye stability. Final cleaning decisions depend on inspection and appropriate testing. We may discuss limitations or advise against a process that would expose a vulnerable rug to unnecessary risk.
Explain the problem, not just the appearance
Tell us whether the rug smells, feels sticky, has a particular spill or has become generally dull. Let us know if water reached it, a pet repeatedly used one area, or another cleaner treated it previously. These details help separate removable soil from changes to the fibre or colour.
If the rug is wet now, call for advice rather than rolling it tightly and leaving it in plastic. Explain its condition and how long it has been wet so the transport and assessment discussion starts with the important facts.
Agree expectations before booking
We aim to explain the proposed care, the limits of stain or odour treatment, and the expected timing for accepted bookings. Cleaning is not a guarantee that every mark disappears, and damage such as fading or worn pile is different from soil.
Use the quote form with your Aberdeen postcode or call 07500 149433. The useful outcome is a clear decision on service availability, a suitable treatment and a complete collection-and-return plan.
